Thank you all for coming down to Hack&Roll 2026! 🎉
It was an absolute blast for us to organise Singapore’s largest student-run hackathon once again! When we plan this event every January, our goal is always to celebrate true hacker culture and create an environment where you can have the freedom to simply build for fun.
This year, we introduced something special to the Hack&Roll pacakge, our first ever custom PCB badge!

Keeping state straight in distributed systems At Jane Street, we rely heavily on inter-process communication and real-time message passing to drive many of our most critical systems, including those that ingest market data and implement trading strategies. As we scale up the number of components, however, it becomes increasingly difficult to reason about the consistency and correctness of the overall system.
